Stanford University Hospital Center for Advanced Cellular Therapeutics and Transplantation

This very specialized laboratory is primarily used to prepare bone marrow for transplantation and includes special design considerations to facilitate advanced cellular research.

This laboratory is a Class 100K clean room environment with HEPA filtered air exchange systems and is designed to meet FDA GMP validation requirements.  The facility also meets Biosafety Level 2 containment requirements.

This suite contains four cell processing areas, a prototype laser cell sorter room, cryogenic storage areas, testing and common equipment areas, supply receiving, and offices.

The BMT program at Stanford Hospital and Clinics treats patients from the United States and around the world. It is the nation’s leading program, providing treatment for leukemia, lymphoma, blood cancer and bone cancer.
