The Glide Healthcare Foundation of San Francisco created this new OSHPD III community clinic designed by Meeks, Coates + Eaton Architects, Inc.
The project was completed in 2007. Patients are primarily low income, and many are homeless. They are provided a diversity of healthcare services from this facility. We created a supportive environment and infused the facility with an interplay of both natural and artificial light. We specified durable materials and finishes to accommodate the more than 10,000 patient visits annually.
The Clinic features primary care exam rooms, mental health evaluation rooms, H.I.V. consultation rooms, a group care room, along with a waiting room that can double as a presentation area. We strove to provide a clinic that conveys a sense of tranquility and compassion while meeting the needs of this diverse clientele.
