Russell Meeks AIA, NCARB, LEED-AP
Russell is a member of the American Institute of Architects, is accredited by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, and the US Green Buildings Council for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. Russell received a Bachelor of Architecture in 1976 from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, California. Russell’s passion is integrating buildings with the natural landscape to create energy efficient structures in harmony with their surroundings. His clients have included, Daimler-Benz Research and Technology Center, The U.S. National Park Service, Stanford University, Coyote Point Museum for Environmental Education, Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford, Stanford Hospital, and Kaiser Permanente. Russell was an Associate at Anshen + Allen where he designed numerous laboratory, educational, civic, and high tech facilities. His most notable roles were as Project Architect of the Coyote Point Museum for Environmental Education Wildlife Center in San Mateo, and as Project Designer for the Lucile Salter Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford.
Scott Coates AIA
As a principal in the firm Scott is a primary contact for Clients on their projects. Scott has specialized in the design of complex projects from conception through construction. Scott is especially skilled at assembling and leading design teams tailored for each individual project’s special requirements. He has led our Offices efforts on numerous educational and research projects including Classrooms, Offices, Laboratories, Manufacturing and Conference Facilities. Many of these projects are located on College and University campuses. Scott began his professional career in 1979 with the Chicago office of Skidmore Owings and Merrill. Later Scott was an associate at Anshen and Allen Architects of San Francisco. His most notable roles were as Project Architect for the Economics Building at Stanford University, The Student Health Center at UC Berkeley, and the Computer Science Building at UC Berkeley. Scott holds a degree in Architecture from the University of Colorado and is a member of the American Institute of Architects.
Michelle Eaton AIA ASLA, Retired Emeritus
Michelle is a California Licensed Architect, and Landscape Architect, whose passion is creating healing environments, both in hospitals and medical centers, and in gardens. Michelle has over 40 year’s experience in architecture, landscape architecture, planning and research, and was a Principal with Meeks, Coates + Eaton Architects, Inc., since 1993. Michelle was Principal in Charge of the first addition to Packard Children’s Hospital since its opening in 1991: the Heart Center/Neurology/Pulmonary Center. In addition, Michelle has served as Project Architect for the Forever Young Zone, the Audiology/ENT Clinic, the Harmon Clinic, MRI/CT/RT, and numerous other projects at Packard Children’s Hospital. At Stanford Hospital, she was Principal in Charge of many remodel and renovation projects, including Clinic G renovation, and the Emergency Department renovation/expansion. Her clients include Stanford University Medical Center, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford, Kaiser Permanente, and Marin General Hospital.
